Tucked away in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands, east of Pittsburgh, is one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpieces. Fallingwater was built for the Kaufman family in the 1930s as their summer retreat. Its setting is fantastical – partly suspended over a waterfall – and totally impractical. It is a triumph of vision over reality.

read moreI made steady progress this week on "Love Birds", a counted cross stitch picture I am making for C and M for their wedding which took place late in 2020. My goal this past week was to finish the leaves and start the next large blue flower. Mission accomplished!

read moreI visited my daughter last weekend and spent my time on the train trip to get there working on my Frank Lloyd Wright Waterlilies cross stitch picture.
I finished off the outlining at the bottom of the picture while my daughter was at work and did a little happy dance of joy! I was done! (I could not really dance for joy because Finn was sleeping on my lap, but you know what I mean.)
I took the picture out this morning to take some pictures to do my blogpost and discovered that I was not really done.
A group of friends/former colleagues and I got together for dinner last night and I made each of them a zippered pouch...
